MSc Optometry Admission: Master of Science in Optometry is a 2 year postgraduate degree program. It is divided into 4 semesters. To be eligible for an MSc in Optometry, candidates must hold a full-time regular Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) degree from a recognized university. Minimum score of 45 to 50% is necessary for admission (5% relaxation offered by University to reserved category students. Interested students can visit the official website of MIT University, start by filling out the admission process, upload necessary documents, pay the application fee, and submit the admission form. 

  1. Go to the official website of MIT University Sikkim, fill out the registration form with basic information like name, email, and phone number
  2. Sign in to the admission portal with the username and password (credentials) received in your registered email
  3. Fill out the admission form with program name, address, and all the necessary information
  4. Upload scanned documents like identity proof (aadhar card, PAN card), certificate and marksheet, scanned signature, passport-size photograph
  5. Pay the registration fee of INR 1500 (non-refundable) via online payment mode such as UPI, Debit/credit card, Net banking, etc

After finishing the MSc Optometry program, students can opt for a variety of career options like Clinical Optometrist, Clinical Application Specialist, Vision Researcher, Low Vision, etc. The salary may vary based on experience and responsibilities; generally, it ranges from INR 3.5 lakh to INR 9 lakh per annum (LPA).
